Looking at the table, Kingborough should be further up the table - 6 draws! Do they have trouble finshing the game off? Or have they salvaged matches? Haven't followed their stats closely to know the answer.

I think you will find a bit of both. they have thrown points away to Uni but statistically you will find they have been quite fortunate to come away with a draw on 4 of the 6 occasions.
Personally i think they have a better list then the teams below them but under perform on a regular basis through poor coaching and preperation and too many "egos" in the squad.

olympia deserved a point, if not 3 points, Begovic was huge today, Wadawu played 70 minutes of solid football which is a huge improvement on his normal floating in and out of games. Woolley has to be in the top 3 players in the state for his age. josh was creative and his effort all day was telling. The game changed when Peter came off he was doing fine and forced the move on Kumpa to centre mid. The club has been down the Ben Phillips in centre midfield before and it does not work. I would of thought Nick Meredith should of come off rather than young Woolley. As for Kingborough they are a very solid unit but when it got hot in the kitchen Schuth went missing and Iseli continually fouls people in dangerous positions, is that 2 penalties he has given away this year.

2 damaging players in Schuth (K'bro) and Woolley (Oly) subbed off with about 25 to go.

Woolley the more surprising move but Grillas did provide renewed drive for the Warriors.

At least finally the Lions are playing to win the game no more parking the bus such a pleasant change from preivous season's there a heading in right direction.

I hear Rhodes will not be seeking reappointment Kevin Wright,Steve Adkins, or back to Tim Dale plenty of replacment on hand .

I am not Rhodes greatest fan but i must say he has done very well this year with the group .

One loses in Ten and a Summer Cup trophy i am sorry Anon 4 your way of track he has been far from poor as coach this year. The Warriors are on a high and showed great sprit to come back Four times i think we can still make top four.

Bottom line it's a very even league this year ever game is great to watch.

WATCH OUT CLARENCE HERE WE COME!

No 5 said that Olympia were unlucky not to get 3 points. I think it is probably the Lions that were unlucky. Remember Olympia were chasing this game all day. The Lions led 4 times, Olympia were never in front.

were you there? olympia conceded three goals in first 28 minutes before Peter's injury. the second was an uncotested header from a corner by a 6 foot 4 player. the defence was better after stockers came on.

Anon 4 not sure about the 'egos' issue but I agree Boro's list is not achieving its potential.

I'm not sure the young guys (Bevan and Davies) in the midfield are creative or have suffient presence at this level - I think they've got better options in Cooper or Damien Pearce.

Anonymous 4 - If you knew anything about KLUFC, how it is run as a whole or by whom, the senior playing group or the coaching staff you would not be saying there is too much 'ego' at the club. Everyone knows borough are full of good blokes and everyone is treated as equal and with respect. That's much more than can be said for 80% of the other current SPL population!

what has the sequence of the goals scored got to do with who "deserved" a win? All three acounts I've seen/heard suggest Olympia shaded what was a very entertaining game.

With great respect to those gentlemen named, none should represent the future for 'Boro particularly with the list they now have which is one of the key reasons for their improvement this season.

If Rhodes was to move on, they need a coach to further develop their passing/possession game which is still a way off what it needs to be.

I actually played in the game Ulverstone lost 4-0 to Kingborough (Probably the reason we didn't go so well!). On the pitch, they were sportsmanlike and respectful. Off the pitch, They all hung around after the match and socialised with us until we had to leave and they were very humble in their victory. Even after I had a friendly dip at Rhodesy on this blog leading up to the game. These comments are water of a duck's back for this squad I'm sure.

Agree with Nick. Far more credibility from that comment than from any 99% of the remainder of the comments thus far.

And just to reassure the shit stirrers, no one is putting more pressure on Rhodesy than what his own passion and desire puts on himself to achieve.

The attitude at Kingborough is that they aim to achieve. It seems there are too many clubs who think survival in the league is a satisfactory goal. Obvious that Olympia feels this way. They were the only team celebrating this result.

#33 Olympia have won more trophies than Calies/Kingborough..fact...actually how long has it been since Borough/Calies won a premiership or final 5 series, or a major trophy not a warm up pre-season cup. Television broadcasts are probably more recent. I think the players had smiles on there faces that they came back from behind 4 times away from home and fought from start to finish and as one prior post suggested just because Kingborough gave up the lead 4 times does not mean they were the better team over the 90 plus minutes..Kingborough i suggest can start celebrating when they win a premiership or a couple of major trophies.

#35 and that is the problem right there, you can't live in the past as you seem to want to do, past glories mean nothing except to build a vibrant history and culture for a club, which if you look at the performance of Olympia over the last what 5 years, has shown that the players that now play for you are not the same ones that have won titles. That is not their fault, however the supporters and knockers will not allow them to develop slowly as other clubs do. I'm sure that South Hobart are not too concerned about how many titles anyone won in the 40s, 50s, 60s or any other era beacause right now noone has won for 3 years. Your only as good as your last game and on that South, Zebs, Olympia and Lions all got one point, CSE got 3 as did Clarence. THe last trophy Olympia won was also a Pre-season trophy and you celebrated that as if it was the World Cup, so think and keep up to date with your facts

Olympia, PLEASE, it is not all about you. It is about building the game in the state, creating an atmosphere where the public feel welcome and want to watch opposing teams play. We need to grow the profile of our game collectively. I like seeing other teams attend games and opposition coaches viewing matches from the stands. It is great to see people like Ian Syson vieiwng our games and providing feedback. It is about growth.

#33 #35....yes you are correct about living in the past, however we at Olympia are not living in the past mind you we are proud of our history. You mentioned we were celebrating a point/draw, what we were celebrating was a gutsy never beaten attitude on the day, so we have plenty to be proud of and we took away 2 points from a team that have gotten way ahead of themselves hence the Summer " Picnic Races" Cup..If you are not quick to hit some form you may be closer to the bottom than the top again.
