The Kingston Landscape Centre and Maveric Builders have both chipped in to the tune of $21,000 for the next three years.

Leader of the Opposition, Will Hodgman, was there, as was Kingborough Council mayor, Graham Bury. Cameron Simpkins, shareholder in the Kingston Landscape Centre, made a stirring speech in which he said that football and rugby players could travel the world and get a game because of the universal nature of the two sports.

It was the same with football, he said, in contrast to AFL, which was a localised Australian game. He wished Kingborough well for the coming season and said his company was delighted to back a local club. Dan Elliott from Maveric Builders also addressed the gathering and, on behalf of directors Mark and Erik Verdouw, said the company was pleased to be sponsoring a local club.

Kingborough’s new playing kit, both home and away, was modelled by reserves players Nick Vialle and Will Davis, and senior players Marcello Marchioli and Joel Schuth. Graham Bury and Will Hodgman also made short speeches in which they welcomed the work that the Lions did in the community and wished the club well in 2012.

Nice to see this club stepping up their efforts. The great under achievers in the past 10 years despite the best efforts of Dale and Isles who lifted the standards.
Huge year for Rhodes and Wright.
C'mon Boro!
Knighty
Watch this space, won't be that far away!
Beat's playing on a "postage stamp" sized ground like Warrior Park and PWB! Clare Street not much chop either, unless you play cricket! KGV, WWP, South Hobart (not Wellesley), Lightwood Park and Olinda Grove the pick.
Warrior Park is on the smaller side (width) but has excellent facilities and the best atmosphere of all grounds. The Club is adding seating for 150 next week. It is the best facility behind KGV and Sth Hobart and the only facility when Councils are closing grounds.
Olinda Grove and Wentworth are terrible grounds.
South Hobart gets worse and worse as the season goes on and no one can say it holds up as well as KGV or Lightwood. Warrior Park can be used all year round so it makes the top three. End of discussion
are you serious? clare street is a players haven. especially when the pitch in the middle hardens. i dont know of any player who wouldnt want to take a tumble when it has dried out. great for practising slide tackles.
Seems like you have a Council and a Community who support you.
