A teacher by profession, but is now in his 38th year as a football writer. Has written for "Soccer Action" (Melbourne), "Australian Soccer Weekly" (Sydney) and "World Soccer" (London), as well as for several Tasmanian newspapers. Currently contributing to "Goal!Weekly" in Melbourne and the Australian magazine "Soccer International". Played for Croatia-Glenorchy, Caledonians, Metro, Rapid and University in Tasmania, as well as in the United States of America. Coached University, Metro and Croatia-Glenorchy.

Tilford Zebras have established a ‘club affiliation’ agreement with Victorian side Moreland Zebras FC.

Moreland Zebras FC are the former Brunswick Juventus FC and the agreement is a formal strategic alliance between the Victorian and Tasmanian clubs.

The National Training Centre will meet Olympia Warriors in next Saturday’s Women’s Premier League Summer Cup Final at KGV Park.

The NTC beat Tilford Zebras 9-2 in one semi-final at KGV Park today, while the Warriors downed Clarence United 7-2 in the other.

Kingborough Lions United and Tilford Zebras will meet in the Southern Summer Cup final at KGV Park at 6.30pm next Saturday.

The Lions demolished Olympia Warriors 6-2 in one semi-final today, while Zebras knocked holders South Hobart out of the tournament with a 2-0 win in the other semi-final.

Hosts Launceston United have the bye in Sunday’s fourth round of the Steve Hudson Cup competition, which gives them an automatic 3 points and moves them up from third-last to 4th on the standings.

They will be level on 6 points with second-placed Ulverstone and third-ranked Northern Rangers before a ball is kicked.
