The Ulverstone Soccer Club have started up what they call a ‘Saturday Crew’.

This involves getting out in the community and helping where they can every Saturday in the off-season.

The NTC/TIS men’s team were in Brisbane on the weekend for a couple of games.

The Tasmanians beat the Queensland Academy of Sport 1-0 and then lost 2-1 to an invitational Ipswich Under-19 side.

Nathan Robinson, Jack Turner and Luke Atkin shared Beachside’s Alistair Hales Best-and-Fairest Award with 24 votes each at last night’s trophy presentation evening at the Lenah Valley RSL.

All senior players voted on the award on a 3-2-1 basis and so this is, in effect, a players’ player-of-the-year award.
